How to:
Choose one player to be the first Simon. “Simon” must call out commands for the other players to follow. As long as Simon says, “Simon says” before each command, the other players must obey. For example, if Simon says, “Simon says pick up two things,” all players must pick up and put away two items. But, if Simon gives a command without saying “Simon says” any player following that command is out of the game. When only one player is left, that player becomes the new Simon and the game continues.
Tips:
- Simon’s commands can be creative. Here is a list to get started:
- Simon says put away something blue.
- Simon says put away everything that is green.
- Simon says walk backwards while putting away one item.
- Simon says pick up something soft.
- Simon says pick up a book.
- Simon says pick up something and trade it with another player to put away.
